Yahoo!

No, not the website, the expression!

After six months of exercise-less existence, I had a pleasant surprise today during Wushu training (yes, Wushu. I may not speak good Chinese, but at least I can do Kung Fu and hold a pair of chopsticks the correct way). I did a back-tuck. A back somersault. Back flip with no hands. Woohoo!

I'm gonna do the typical Christian thing: Praise God!

Okay, my justification: I spent the last six months (technically) sitting on my ass (another technicality), doing completely no exercise (unless you count walking to the MRT station and all those pull-ups Mel and I did during Easter) for fear that i may aggravate the already disastrous condition of my knee (my Chiropractor says the ligaments got torn), and render myself disabled (for a while longer). Then suddenly I jump into full training (no breaks, no sit outs), and find that i haven't lost much flexibility or strength (though my stamina suffered). Then I try to do a back flip on a thick mattress. You know, for fun. Then I did it on the floor. Then I did it again. and again. and again.

So yes, miracles do happen. In very, very unexpected ways. And. I'm going to need a miracle if i don't start my assignment brief right this second.
